ONLINE: ASU Space Governance Innovation Contest Crowdsourcing International Law [1]

Date:
Thursday, June 4, 2020 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Description:

The Space Governance Innovation Contest is organized by the Arizona State University’s Interplanetary Initiative Space Advisory Project, and partners. For this contest, interdisciplinary teams of African students and young professionals will compete to address policy gaps in international space law. The key question facing the teams is: Using international law, is it possible to bridge the policy gaps in the Outer Space Treaty (OST) to promote a sustainable and equitable new space economy?

During this live webinar, watch the teams of students present and defend their proposals before a panel of expert judges. The winner will be determined by combining their oral advocacy scores with their earlier written submissions.
