The Nordic countries have jointly set goals to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. Creating renewable, carbon-free energy is part of the strategy for achieving these goals. This entry in the series will look at the agreements, laws, and regulations that provide opportunities or present limitations and challenges for meeting these targets--including green energy incentives, indigenous rights issues, municipal rights questions, and collaborative efforts between the Nordic countries.
