Please join GW Law's International and Comparative Law Program for a very special day of events on September 18th. The day will begin with a remembrance of GW Professor Emeritus Judge Thomas Buergenthal. Professor Emeritus Ralph Steinhardt will be speaking about Judge Buergenthal and then there will be a viewing of the documentary "Peace Through Justice - The Legacy of Thomas Buergenthal." This will be followed by our Fall 2023 Brand-Manatt Lecture. Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji will be giving a lecture entitled "Doing More with Peace as a Legal Norm." We will then host a panel on "Striving for Peace through Justice Today: Perspectives on the International Criminal Court." Dean Celorio will moderate and Professor Todd Buchwald, Professor Laura Dickinson, and Professor Alka Pradhan will be speaking. Reception to follow.
