Biennial Conference on International Law and the Social Sciences [1]
Building New Interdisciplinary Networks
Northwestern University's Pritzker School of Law, located in downtown Chicago, will host the inaugural International Law and Social Sciences (ILASS) biennial work-in-progress workshop on September 27-28, 2024. Our goal for this inaugural workshop is to begin building new networks that bridge social science and the study of international law. Researchers from a range of disciplines will present work-in-progress on international law topics.
The network we seek to build will include faculty and visiting researchers from law and social science departments, doctoral (Phd) students, post-doctoral researchers, full-time researchers, scholars who are working in practice, and institute or think-tank fellows. Scholars from the disciplines of law, history, political science, economics, anthropology and sociology who study international law topics are encouraged to apply and to attend our events. The ILASS interest group is also hosting an on-line speaker series, and we will host off-site social events at the ASIL annual and midyear meetings. ASIL membership is not necessary to join ILASS events, including this workshop.
