The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea has published its 2019 Annual Report [3]. The Report discusses the three cases upon which it rendered judgments in 2019 (M/V "Norstar" (Panama v. Italy) [4], Case concerning the detention of three Ukranian naval vessels ( [5]Ukraine v. Russian Federation [5]) [5] provisional measures, and M/T "San Padre Pio" ( [6]Switzerland v. Nigeria [6]) [6], provisional measures) and provides information concerning two pending disputes (Dispute concerning delimitation of the maritime boundary between Mauritius and Maldives in the Indian Ocean [7] and M/T "San Padre Pio" (No. 2) (Switzerland v. Nigera) [8]). In addition, the Report notes a number of other legal and judicial matters considered by the Tribunal in 2019, including matters relating to its jurisdiction and recent developments in law of the sea matters.
