Join the American Red Cross IHL Dept. to discuss author Jody Prescott's new book "Empirical Assessment in IHL Education and Training Better Protection for Civilians and Detainees in Armed Conflict". The book charts the use of empirical assessment over the last 20 years to make IHL training more effective and links it with recent research that emphasizes the role of military leaders in building a values-oriented culture of IHL compliance with their soldiers. Themes to be discussed include systematic, and human-oriented approach driven by data to better ensure effective IHL training and in turn greater compliance.
