On Wednesday, February 27, 2019 a web seminar will be presented by Dr. Daphné Richemond-Barak of IDC Herzliya on Underground Warfare: Operational and Legal Dilemmas. The event is being sponsored by ASIL’s International Law and Technology Interest Group (ILTechIG) and will appear on the IG page as soon as available. It will be moderated by ILTech Co-Chair Deborah Housen-Couriel in the IDC International Radio Studios in Herzliya, Israel. Dr. Richemond-Barak is an Assistant Professor at the IDC's Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy; and Senior Researcher and Head of the International Law Desk at the IDC's International Institute for Counter-Terrorism.
The seminar will expose the global and fast-diffusing nature of underground threats – from Syria and Iraq to Gaza, Egypt, and Mali.
Dr. Richemond-Barak’s monograph, Underground Warfare, was published in 2018 by Oxford University Press.
