International Legal Careers and Diversity Within the U.S. Government

The Blacks of the American Society of International Law (BASIL), the Government Attorneys Interest Group (GAIG), and the Minorities in International Law Interest Group (MILIG) invite all ASIL members and the general public to join us for an informative roundtable discussion on attorney recruitment and diversity initiatives within federal government agencies involved in the practice of international law. For those considering pursuing careers in international law within the U.S. Government or seeking advice on succeeding and thriving there, this roundtable offers the opportunity to hear from a diverse set of U.S. government lawyers with experience in a broad range of government agencies and institutions. Panelists will discuss their own paths as well as current recruitment policies and efforts to advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within their departments.
