ONLINE: Challenges and Opportunities for Lawyers in International Organizations: A “fireside chat” with Steven Hill

Description:

The American Society of International Law’s International Organizations Interest Group (IOIG) invites all ASIL members and the general public to a "fireside chat" with Steven Hill, outgoing Legal Adviser and Director of the Office of Legal Affairs at NATO Headquarters and member of the ASIL Executive Council. The chat will be moderated by IOIG Chair Christie Edwards and will feature introductory remarks on lessons learned as legal counsel at NATO and then a discussion on relevant issues for lawyers in IOs. This discussion is part of a new series launched this year by the IOIG to foster a community of staff at legal and programmatic offices of international organizations. The aim of the initiative is to bring together IO staff lawyers to discuss common questions and recent developments in their field of practice. It is open to all lawyers, including those who might be considering a transition to IO work.

This webinar will take place live online via Zoom. Registration is free, but required. The participation link will be sent to all who register online.

Organized by ASIL's International Organizations Interest Group.
