To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Emeritus Shigeru Oda, who served as a judge of the International Court of Justice for 27 years from 1976 to 2003, the Center for International Law and Policy (CILP) of Tohoku University is holding an international symposium on ?New Trends and Challenges in International Dispute Settlement and Compliance.? The discussions will focus on ?Climate Change before International Courts and Tribunals? and ?Value Adjustments of International Law in Dispute Settlement and Compliance Mechanisms.?
