Teaching International (Economic) Law in the 21st Century
International (Economic) Law has undergone profound change over the last decade. The relationship between trade, investment, or finance and other policy goals such as the environment, health, or human rights is being redefined. Dispute settlement has come under increased scrutiny and there is a renewed focus on national policies. The panel will discuss the requirements of teaching international (economic) law in this new environment, requiring new pedagogical tools, a combination of legal analysis with insights from fields such as policy and history to prepare students for a more uncertain future.
