Each year thousands of children are either killed or severely injured in armed conflicts around the world. Although concerns about general health care, schools, and the use of explosive weapons in populated areas have been examined, the protection of children often lacks practical solutions. This unique multidisciplinary session will focus on challenges and practical steps on how to strengthen the protection of children in such conflicts. These issues will be examined from a medical, legal and military policy perspective for interested professionals in these respective fields. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all those who attend. Recordings of talks will be available upon request.
