The Importance of the International Rule of Law and International Tribunals

This panel of experts will explore the significance of International Tribunals in ensuring the observance and protection of the International Rule of Law across various legal fields. Topics of discussion will include, but are not limited to, International Human Rights Law, International Criminal Law, International Humanitarian Law, Territorial Disputes, and more. The discussion will underscore the crucial importance, in today's global diplomatic landscape, of not only states respecting judgments made by international bodies but also recognizing their legitimacy by making serious  commitments to preserve fundamental rights and resources. The panel of experts will assess how the existence of jurisdictional and quasi jurisdictional bodies has contributed to resolving disputes through peaceful means, implementing guarantees of non- repetition, and providing redress to victims. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation  with current Judges from International Tribunals, gaining insights into their experiences and the impact of their work on global governance and justice.
