Join The George Washington International Law Review for our 2025 Symposium: Global Votes, Global Threats: Democracy in the 2024 Super-Cycle Election on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the Jack Morton Auditorium at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. The event is co-sponsored by GW Law?s International and Comparative Law Program, the Multiracial Democracy Project, Human Rights Law Society, and International Law Society. Additional co-sponsors include the American Society of International Law (ASIL).

With over 73 elections in the 2024 Super-Cycle, this symposium will offer a legal reflection on the state of democracy globally, including panels on election access, trust, and security. Speakers from election commissions, media, academia, civil society, and international organization such as the United Nations (UN), Organization of American States (OAS), and Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe (OSCE)will share insights.
