This year's commemoration of International Women's Day is a time for assessment: the international community celebrates over 25 years since the adoption of the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and ten years since the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China adopted the Beijing Platform for Action ("Beijing Platform").
