The ASIL Endowment for International Law generates income to support and perpetuate the Society’s educational programs and to advance its mission of fostering the study of international law and promoting international relations on the basis of law and justice.  For example, in recent years it has supported the following activities:

ASIL carries out its work in partnership with law schools, law firms, publishers, and other institutional supporters from around the world. In exchange for being a supporter of the Society, partner institutions enjoy significant benefits for their members and for promoting their respective products and services.

ASIL is a volunteer-led organization whose Officers and governing Executive Council are elected by its members. Today, leaders from the bench, the academy, the bar and public service are guiding the Society's transformation into a direct, engaged, worldwide network - through conferences, meetings, publications, and electronic communications and information resources.

The Society’s full-time, permanent staff consists of a dozen employees who work at ASIL headquarters, Tillar House, near Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.  A staff directory follows.
