ASIL Newsletter

Published four times a year, the ASIL Newsletter covers selected international law developments, new publications, upcoming conferences, and regional activities of the Society. The Newsletter publishes thought-provoking commentary, including columns by the Society's president and the Society's executive director; information on meetings and symposia held all over the world; announcements of opportunities to participate in Society endeavors; and news of activities cosponsored with collegial organizations.

deFord Library and Information Center

As a specialized collection that is open to the public, the Society's library is unique in Washington, DC. From its 20,000-item specialized collection of books and periodicals to its databases on international law topics and web-based resources, the deFord Library and Information Center plays an important role for the local international law community and, electronically, to the global audience of international lawyers and researchers.

Women in International Law Networking Breakfast

This breakfast, sponsored by ASIL's Women in International Law Interest Group (WILIG), will feature accomplished professionals in various practices of international law discussing their career paths and offering professional advice and insights for women interested in pursuing careers in international law. The panel presentations will be followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunities among the panelists and participants.

ASIL Endowment

The ASIL Endowment for International Law generates income to support and perpetuate the Society’s educational programs and to advance its mission of fostering the study of international law and promoting international relations on the basis of law and justice.  For example, in recent years it has supported the following activities:
