Migration & Refugee Law Conversation Series: Reflecting on Refugee Crises

Featuring Susan M. Akram, Clinical Professor of Law, Boston University College of Law

The ASIL Migration Law Interest Group (MLIG) and International Refugee Law Interest Group (IRLIG) invite you to the second event in our Migration & Refugee Law Conversation Series. The series focuses on a current issue in migration and/or refugee law and policy and allows interest group members to engage in an informal and open dialogue with practitioners, academics, and experts in the field.

In our second event, we will be in conversation with Professor Susan M. Akram, a former chair of IRLIG. On the eve of the first anniversary of the war, we will be discussing differences between Responses to Syrian and Ukrainian refugees, and what can be learned from the search for solutions from these two displacement crises.

We look forward to engaging with IG members and other colleagues about strengthening refugee response. This is a virtual event in which all attendees are invited and encouraged to be active participants.
